Summer Soirée Centerpiece: Painted Pineapples

Ah, sweet summertime. There are plenty of things to love, from the warm weather to the delicious food. We especially love juicy, sweet pineapple – a refreshing snack to beat the heat.

Materials

• Pineapples
• Acrylic paints
• Foam brushes
• Paint brushes
• Craft paper
• Plastic cups

Directions

1. Place a large piece of craft paper on desired surface and put all materials on top. This will protect the surface and also give you a place to dab brushes, wipe excess paint, etc.

2. Squeeze various colors of paint into plastic cups. Feel free to blend two colors to create a custom hue!

3. Hold the pineapple steady and use a foam brush to cover the leaves with paint, creating a solid base coat.

4. Use a paint brush to reach all nooks and crannies, making sure the leaves are completely covered.

5. Let dry before displaying at your summer soirée.
